So, every one's presentations are done! It took a while due to us only having two lessons a week with a big class.
So firstly, my team:
Zane -His original idea was 'Media Consumption', Genders specifically, what they bought and how the media influenced them to do so.
Mirella - Her original idea was 'Skateboard Culture' as i have mentioned before.
EDIT: Mohammad- Who's presentation i also evaluated. His original idea was 'Islamaphobia'.
Task (A) Whose idea are you taking forward and why? (With WWW&EBI)
We have chosen to take my idea through 'Women and Comic Books'. We have chosen to take this idea because everyone in the group thought it was unique and interesting, something we would all find exciting to work on. It has a specific focus and i have done my best to record the process of development i went through to get it to this stage, which they took a look at. All the planning and research is done to a good standard, and thought out as best as possible. It's something that can connect with their idea's also. I believe that the documentary will be better when we take the aspect of culture from Mirella's documentary idea, and put it into mine as well, so we need to develop this and mesh it with 'Women in Comics', how they have influenced females today etc. This is a good because it will give the audience a wider view on comics so that they will hopefully have a better understanding of the issues raised. My idea doesn't really leave room for this, so it will be an improvement, however we need to identify exactly what part of the culture we want to show.
It can also go with Zane's idea, about 'Media Consumption', which will also be another improvement on my original idea. Who buys what? And why? Again, based on women, why do they buy certain things? for example, skimpy costume duplicates of women characters in comics, or other merchandise. I would also like to delve into men's views about it all, what they think about the idea that women are treated unfairly, and if it affects what comics/merchandise they buy. This will also need to be developed, which will delve deeper into my subject, incorporating the larger media aspect into it, which i didn't really explore in my research.
The problem with this might be the time issue, if we will be able to cover everything that we want to cover with culture, media consumption and Barbara Gordon. We will also definitely be filming at anime convention, So we really need to hurry up and get all our research/planning sorted out before then so we know what we will be doing, this is the tricky part. These ideas will all become clearer with future brainstorms on the idea that we will do as a group. Things need to be discussed, developed and finalised.

What i will specifically do:
I want to work with my group and lead a brainstorm to come up with exactly what we want, then i want everyone to draft a script. I want us to look at them all, and analyse them then decide on the best parts of each, then put them together to make a second collaborated draft, then produce another after we have had the teacher look at it.
Then i would like to work with with the DP/Assistant Director Zane to come up with a finished storyboard based on the script, and check this with my teacher. I would also work with Art Director/Assistant DP and make sure that i also have her opinions for improvement on the storyboard, and consult with her during filming about our equipment, listening to her about errors in our filming. This is also a sort of action plan, but i will be overseeing everything, making sure that it all goes to plan.
This is all i have so far, i'll come back and maybe add more if need be.
